Obituaries

Phil K. Freeland

Phil "P.K. Jr. " Freeland of Bremen, Ohio died May 11 at his residence. He was 37. Freeland, a former Columbus resident, had been a landscape designer. He is survived by is parents, Phil and Jean Freeland; two brothers and three sisters. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Columbus AIDS Task Force, 1500 West Third Avenue, Columbus, OH, 43212, or the Fairfield County Visiting Nurses Association, 1231 East Main Street, Lancaster, OH, 43130.

James A. Marzula

James A. Marzula, 39, died May 1 at Park Medical Center. He is survived by his partner, Richard Decker; parents Mr. & Mrs. James Marzula; brothers John and Jeffrey; sister Josephine Klixbull. Amemorial service was held May 15th at St. John the Baptist Church in Italian VIllage.

James K. Dressel

James K. Dressel, 48, died March 27 of complications related to AIDS. Dressel was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1978 to 1984. He served as President of the Michigan Organization for Human Rights (MOHR) from 1990 until his death. A memorial service was held for Dressel on May 2nd. Memorial contributions may be made to MOHR, PO Box 27383, Lansing, MI, 48909-7383.

Gorman/McCormick

Phyllis Gorman and Kelly McCormick will celebrate their 11th anniversary on June 3. Phyllis is the director of Stonewall Union. Both Kelly and Phyllis have recently finished PhD work in Sociology at Ohio State University. They are raising an 18 month old son, Keegan.
